automatiniai ginklai statusas T sritis Gynyba apibrėžtis Šaunamieji ginklai, kuriuose parako dujų ir kt. šaltinių energija naudojama ginklui iš naujo užtaisyti ir iššauti (ginklai, kuriuose automatizuotas tik užtaisymas, vadinami pusiau automatiniais). Automatiniai ginklai šaudo didele sparta nepertraukiamai, trumpomis serijomis ir pavieniais šūviais. Šoviniai tiekiami iš dėtuvės arba iš lanksčių grandininių juostų. Nuo šaudymo įkaitę vamzdžiai aušinami oru, vandeniu ar keičiami neįkaitusiais. Automatinį šaudymą užtikrina automatikos sistema. Automatiniai ginklai yra automatiniai pistoletai, pistoletai kulkosvaidžiai, automatai, automatiniai (šturmo) šautuvai ir karabinai, kulkosvaidžiai, automatiniai granatsvaidžiai, minosvaidžiai, pabūklai. Pirmąjį automatinį ginklą 1863 m. sukonstravo R. Pilonas (JAV). 1883 m. H. Maksimas (Maxim; JAV) sukonstravo sunkųjį kulkosvaidį, pavadintą jo vardu. Tai buvo pirmas automatinis ginklas kariuomenės ginkluotėje. Dabar daugelio valstybių kariuomenės naudoja tik automatinius ir pusiau automatinius ginklus. Iki II pasaulinio karo Lietuvos kariuomenė buvo ginkluojama 7,92 mm kalibro sunkiaisiais ir lengvaisiais kulkosvaidžiais, 20 mm automatiniais pabūklais. Šiuolaikinė Lietuvos kariuomenė ginkluota pistoletais kulkosvaidžiais (pvz., „Uzi“, Izraelis), automatais (AKM, AK 74, Rusija), automatiniais šautuvais (pvz., M14, JAV), kulkosvaidžiais (RPK, RPK 74, PKT ir KPVT, Rusija). atitikmenys: angl. automatic arms; automatic weapons rus. автоматическое оружие ryšiai: dar žiūrėk – dvišovis įrenginys dar žiūrėk – granatsvaidis dar žiūrėk – keturšovis įrenginys dar žiūrėk – minosvaidis dar žiūrėk – patranka
